your role supports the physician and nursing staff in women's health care environment by performing patient care assessments, and a variety of medically related tasks.
You will assist the physician(s) in providing informative and effective communication with patients.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Clearly document plan of care with attention to detail using an EMR system Assist with in-office procedures, administer medications, and perform phlebotomy Pre-Op patients for surgical procedures such as egg retrievals Administer medications Assist physician with office procedures - Diagnostic and monitoring ultrasounds - Diagnostic procedures - Retrievals - Transfers Setup equipment/room using sterile/aseptic technique with appropriate instruments or trays Start IVs (licensed/certified personnel) and management of IV therapy Correctly prepare lab work/specimens for pick up and the understanding of cleaning, sterilization of autoclaving procedures Assist physician in providing informative and effective communication with patient Confirm that patient has appropriate medications/prescriptions Must be able to communicate orally and in writing Understand and carry out all functions of the position Assist and cooperate with administration and supervisors Interact with other team members in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of daily work, recognizing that many confidential documents and conversations will need to be relayed Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the practice operates in an efficient and cost-effective manner Experience In vitro fertilization (IVF) required License/Certification Active California Licensure BLS certification CPR certification Shift and Schedule Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday with rotation of weekends as needed.
